Reminiscent of a gate, Passage is a simple block construction pattern with lots of potential! Passage is great for beginner quilters, and the more experienced quilter looking for a simple project.

Kona Cottons were used to make the sample quilt, and the colors are named in the pattern.

Six sizes are included in the pattern:

Baby = 36" x 36"

Lap = 48" x 48"

Throw = 60" x 72"

Twin = 72" x 96"

Queen = 96" x 96"

King = 108" x 108"

Each size has it's own cutting chart for ease of use.

I just cut out the material & the one thing I found is the lack of specific fabric requirements for the bright & light coloured pieces. This would be very confusing for a real beginner. Also, the pattern states 3-3/4 yards for a throw size but when you add up the cut amounts, you only need 104” (2.89 yards), even if you use the same background fabric for the binding that is still a lot less than 3-3/4 yards. I think more details can be added to the fabric requirements.
On a positive note, I already have a good feeling the finished top will be impressive.
