I love the mountains here in our mountain valley! I was challenged to make a quilt that signified America the Beautiful for an auction recently and this quilt was designed and created all in a week. It's paper pieced to simplify the cutting process, and to help execute all those strategic points.
Pattern includes two sizes, 9"x 12" or 18" x 24" carefully select the pages that you wish to print. To work the larger size, you will need to tape the pages together before you begin sewing. I've included the Bella solids used in my sample, but encourage you to recolor the mountains based on what they look like where you live!
This pattern is available in a PDF format only, and will be delivered upon checkout.

I like the design a lot, but have not had a chance to make it yet so I don't know how it sews up construction- wise.
I haven't had a chance to work with this pattern yet, but I'm sure looking forward to it. So creative and beautiful!
I love the pattern but haven’t started sewing it.
This was an excellent FPP pattern. Very beginner friendly. I really liked how the pattern didn’t require too much fabric so easy on the pocket book. It is a perfect sized project to do inbetween larger projects so I felt the satisfaction of quilting accomplishment to keep me motivated. I am only half done but very excited to finish.
Would offer a couple of pattern updates that I’ve ran across so far :
1) Most sections have a top bottom that are easy to tape together. However in the PDF pattern for the larger version, section J G are split in such a way that when I printed out the pages I had to tape 4 pieces together for each of those sections which made it tricky to line everything up.
I think it would’ve been easier if all the top/bottom sections where whole, even if I had to print more pages.
2) There are a few color corrections needed. Under Evergreen: add C2
Dove : should be C5
(not C6)
Eggshell : should be C5, D6
( not C7, D7)
3) J7 : that should be shaded to look like Lead color ( it is white giving the impression it’s Eggshell color)
I am definitely making another one of this pattern. It would make a great gift!
This quilt comes together beautifully! The angles present a piecing challenge that is totally doable and It is easy enough for a confident beginner! I had more fabric waste than I have with other patterns but again the angles kind of create that. I was fully satisfied with my outcome and enjoyed every moment of it-- I never got bored or discouraged!
