The Mellow Grids Quilt Pattern by Amy Ellis artfully merges the freedom of improvisational piecing with the precision of a structured grid layout. This design encourages quilters to repurpose materials, such as the protective paper from batting rolls, to stabilize improv strips, resulting in a quilt that's both eco-friendly and visually striking. The pattern provides clear instructions, making it accessible for quilters eager to explore improvisational techniques within a defined framework.

Looking forward to trying it!
I haven’t started this quilt but the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.
Pattern was easy to understand and an interesting concept - improv with a bit of paper piecing to keep results tidy. I may use this method in other improv quilts as well... Pattern is well written and results are beautiful.
