I was inspired to use the protective paper on my batting roll instead of tossing it. This adds stability to the improv strips and uses an otherwise wasted material. If you don’t have batting papers on a long roll, consider wrapping paper, kraft paper on a roll, or even printer paper taped together. You might be able to skip the paper, but your improv strips may not lie as flat or be as super-straight as they are in my example.

I haven’t started this quilt but the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow.
Pattern was easy to understand and an interesting concept - improv with a bit of paper piecing to keep results tidy. I may use this method in other improv quilts as well... Pattern is well written and results are beautiful.
Only Reading not in progress yet.
Next in line when I finish one I am doing now
